**Neighbours and Friends, **

We continue to organize, raise our voices and come together to fight for a free Palestine and stop Canada’s complicity in the on-going genocide. Our community has stayed strong and consistent over these many months and we want to say thank you! It is only through our collective struggle that we will continue to fight for as long as needed! Let’s continue supporting each other and pushing our campaigns. In this issue, we ask you to keep our momentum going by calling you to action for a final push in our Arms Embargo Now campaign. We also celebrate the patience and perseverance it takes in responding to Zionist graffiti with truth and empathy.

Keep fighting, everyone!

Action Updates

Last Push for the Arms Embargo Now Campaign

Since June, Neighbourhood Groups for Palestine have been pressuring Liberal MPs across the country to sign on in support of a full and immediate two-way arms embargo on Israel. Of course this has included VanGran4Pal’s very own Taleeb Noormohamed. We only have a few more days to make a final push to force Taleeb to listen to our demands! Let’s raise our voices as the VanGran4Pal community to ensure Taleeb knows that we will accept nothing less than his unequivocal support of an #ArmsEmbargoNow** **at this stage of Israel’s genocidal campaign on Gaza and all occupied Palestinian territories. You can use the below script to help guide you.

Community Spotlight

A beautiful response focused in love and truth to Zionist grafitti defacing a poster sharing the beautiful and sorrowful poem If I Must Die by Dr. Refaat Alareer. Response Text: “This is a beautiful poem of hope, love and sorrow- written by a Palestinian man shortly before he was killed alongside his brother, nephew, sister and her three children. I don’t understand why you would graffiti over it? Do Palestinian lives mean less to you? I hope that others will still take a moment to reflect and respect this powerful poem. Free Palestine <3 Our hope is stronger than your hate.”
